The pub itself is a proper unspoilt village pub which is a rare find these days. They have 4 rooms that have been added. We stayed in Room 2 which was warm comfortable and had everything you need for a couple of nights stay. They offered freshly cooked food in the evening (only lunches Sundays) and the breakfasts were great. The staff were absolutely fantastic especially Max who made us feel like locals from the moment we stepped through the door. He even ordered a pizza to be delivered to the pub on the Sunday evening because we had been cycling all day and didn’t fancy driving to another venue to eat. An absolutely brilliant couple of days!

Extremely comfortable zip and link beds. Good shower. Excellent breakfast and good chef with all the potential to be first class. New owner on only his 4th day as owner of this Freehouse inn with 4 bedroom cabins could not do enough for us all despite the behind the scenes chaos there must have been. Modest cost for the quality. Rooms are alongside the main pub in 4 adjoining two person cabins (plus small Z-bed for child if needed). Lovely countryside and village which seems friendly and welcoming.

The location of this Pub B&B is in the countryside, a really peaceful, quaint pub. Fields surrounding it, and beautiful views. The staff in the bar were absolutely lovely, so welcoming and helpful, nothing was ever too much. Nice outdoor seating so enjoy a cold drink in the sunshine. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. I would definitely go back if the need arises.

We had a fantastic stay whilst walking the Ridgeway in a weather warning. Michael and Aga could not have been kinder, booking us a table at a neighbouring pub (it was the kitchen’s night off), giving us a lift and picking us up, drying all our saturated kit and making sure we had everything we needed. Accommodation is in purpose built rooms which were well appointed and warm.

Very welcoming pub, lovely bar lady and got to know some of the locals. Breakfast was lovely I the morning, a perfect set up for the day. Our room was a little cottage type place at the top near the car park. Lovely amd so quiet. Over looking far reaching fields. Lovely shower, tea coffee in room, tv, WiFi. Everything you could want.
